Drew

Owner

Starting in the construction industry at a young age, Drew worked for both residential and commercial construction companies in Southern Maine. He Joined the Air National Guard in 2005, and continues to serve as a the First Sergeant of the 265th Combat Communication Squadron, South Portland ME. After returning from a deployment to Iraq in the spring of 2008, Drew started DM Carpentry. The company's quick expansion led to Garrett joining the company while still completing his business degree. The two’s drive and passion for home construction began.

Drew's construction experience, diverse skills, and passion for building science creates a foundation for efficient project management. His expertise in new building materials and methods allows MBCH to maximize efficiency at all levels of construction.

When he’s not hard at work in the office, or on the job site, you will find Drew enjoying the Maine outdoors with his wife and two sons.

Garrett

Owner

Raised on Little Sebago Lake in Raymond, Maine, Garrett graduated college with a degree in business administration. While working in construction during college, he found a passion for home construction. Garrett knew he needed an Industry that appealed to his creative nature, attention to detail, and love of great architecture. He prides himself in paying close attention to the small details while meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations.

In 2014, Garrett became a licensed Real-estate agent to better help our customers in the market. Garrett also has a passion for flying and is a private pilot. He loves flying his family seaplane around the lakes of Cumberland County. His vast knowledge of lakes and ponds in the area will benefit anyone looking for waterfront real estate.

Kyle Herzig

Carpenter

Kyle first joined the McDonnell Brothers team during college summer breaks in 2020 and 2021. He earned his degree in Construction Management with a minor in Engineering Science from Norwich University in Vermont, where he was actively involved in Army ROTC, the Corps of Cadets, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

After graduating in 2022, Kyle returned to Maine and spent a year working as a Field Engineer for a commercial general contractor. While he gained valuable experience, he soon realized his true passion lay in hands-on carpentry and made the shift back to the trades.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys staying active through CrossFit and spending time outdoors with friends and family.

Owen is a first-generation carpenter known for his quick learning and commitment to excellence in every project he undertakes. Born and raised in Windham, Maine, he holds an Associate Degree in Architectural & Engineering Design from Southern Maine Community College (SMCC). Owen joined MBCH in November 2022, bringing a strong foundation in design and a passion for craftsmanship. Outside of work, he enjoys music, art, and spending time outdoors.

Julie Dudley

Office Manager

Julie manages the day-to-day office operations at MBCH and plays a key role in guiding customers through the build process. She works closely with subcontractors and vendors to ensure all paperwork and documentation are in order, helping to keep projects running smoothly from start to finish. With an extensive background in real estate and office management, Julie brings both expertise and enthusiasm to the team.

She finds great satisfaction in watching a project evolve from the initial introduction to the final completion of a home. Outside the office, Julie enjoys camping with her husband and their beloved dogs, or cheering on her nephew at the racetrack.
